Prosurgics appoints Italian distributor DI DEDDA S.p.A.

28 Jul 2009

Prosurgics announces signature of an agreement with DI DEDDA S.p.A. to become its exclusive distributor in Italy for the award winning FreeHand® robotic camera controller.

FreeHand’s unique design controls the positioning of the camera by using simple head movements by the surgeon. It holds and directs the laparoscope, enabling surgeons to view rock-steady images inside the patient’s body. Freehand is suitable for all laparoscopic procedures, and is instrumental in improving hospital efficiency by reducing procedure times.

Giovanni Di Dedda, CEO of DI DEDDA S.p.A., said: "We are delighted to be working with the Prosurgics team. It is a great opportunity for us to consolidate our position in the medical branch and to offer Italian hospitals this revolutionary device for laparoscopic surgery".

Phil Jennings, International Export Business Manager, Prosurgics said, ”We are thrilled to have such a well establish distributor working with Prosurgics to take FreeHand into the italian market. DI DEDDA is a long established name in the Italian medical industry and  we are delighted that they share our enthusiasm for the FreeHand product and for what it can achieve in Italy .”
