Prosurgics, leading image-guided surgical robotics company, has appointed Barry Carter as Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Director.
Barry joins Prosurgics from Spacelabs Healthcare Ltd, where he was the Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. His responsibilities included the implementation and supervision of Global Quality Management Systems accredited to ISO 9000 and ISO 13485, and maintaining regulatory compliance across multiple sites.
Barry has over fifteen years of experience in manufacturing and quality management for a diverse range of medical devices, including cardiology and respiratory products. In addition he has successfully led purchasing, production and international order fulfilment operations. Barry has an MSc in Manufacturing Management and is a member of the UK’s Chartered Quality Institute.
